Believe in Good things to Come
Sometimes while I'm trying or striving, I want to just call it quits. But then I remember "why" I am doing this. Why I am pressing on.
Do you ever do that? Remember the why, and it helps put things in perspective and helps you move forward, even if you don't want to.
In the above picture it says it clearly:
Don't give up. Don't you quit. Trust God and believe good things to come.
To be honest, it helps me to know I'm not alone, even when I really feels like I am. When it feels no on cares, and nothing is going right.
It helps to know my Heavenly Father is watching out for me, and that good things will come.
And even as I think of that, so many good things have already come. I live in a nice place. I can talk walks under forest trees, and along rivers (an old favorite of mine). I have many great books, talents, and other things that bring me joy.
It's strange, isn't it, how we can so easily get caught up in the problems of life and miss all it's great beauty.
Isn't it sad to miss so much happiness?
Well, I don't know about you, but I would like to change that. Each day this next week I would like to:
- Look more for the good around me.
- Bring something good into my life,
- Do something good for someone else.
- Serve someone else. Even if it's little.
- Make sure I have several good things in my life.
Doing these things can brighten and bring light into our lives. Just a bit. And yet, bit by bit great things can be accomplished.
"Little and often make much" – Chinese proverb I keep with me.
